There was a topic already made about this, but in short the answer is no.

Not directly.

See, if you save the sim to your bin through the mirror (or the Edit in CAS cheat), you can recreate the sim, and it won't have the LTRs anymore. The downside is that any skills or whatever else will also be gone.

Hm, I see. Than I should be more careful next time.
Fortuniatly I saw I had a backup file which I can use to start from. I'm so glad I don't have to start from scratch! :D

About buying game-changing LTRs, I believe. Stuff like Fertility Treatment.

Actually I mean more careful on when to buy the game-changing LTR's, as I wanted this sim to be capable of resurrecting ghosts and I think this LTR will remove that possibility.

I'm extremely certain that this LTW will not be the cause of you not getting the opportunity.  It has nothing to do with mourning, as it is based on the relationship level with a deceased Sim and the availability of the deceased's remains somewhere in town.  As long as you are able to meet these two qualifiers, you have a chance to get it.  It's not guaranteed.  Keep in mind that it is entirely possible to get this opportunity weeks after a qualifying Sim has died, which is well beyond the mourning period.

However multiple Sims in the active household who meet the relationship qualifier with a deceased Sim will give you multiple chances to get it.  It doesn't improve your chances per Sim, but with more people having the an equal chance you will effectively increase your odds of someone getting it.

Now I think about it you could be right. It can be send a long time after the mourning, but who said your sim doesn't have to mourn in the first place? But if you can prove me wrong, I uh... well, I actually hope you can prove me wrong. :)

I never make or allow my sims to waste time mourning, and yet I always get the Oh My Ghost! opportunity. Stone-Hearted and all.

When I did the photography challenge, I had a sim who stole graves from the graveyard and socialized with them and other ghosts at the graveyard in order to get the Oh My Ghost opportunity.  She never knew anyone who died, and yet she was able to get the opportunity within a few days in both my practice and actual runs.  Obviously, she didn't mourn, so I'd say mourning is unnecessary.

And there you go:  two unique situations that illustrate that you have nothing to worry about!

I can sense the relief from here... :P

*sigh of relief*

Now let's hope you all are telling me the truth as doing so won't really fit my recent conspiracy theories. :P
