Gem locations
« on: February 27, 2010, 12:31:13 AM »
I am trying to find all the gem locations for the rarer gems. If you could tell me, that would be very helpful. Also, I'm trying to find where the pink diamond gems spawns in Sunset Valley.

I don't think the Guide has the specific locations, but it's worth looking at if you haven't done so already.

Gem/Metal/meteor spawners don't spawn specific items, rather, they spawn a random gem/metal/meteor from a certain set that depends on the spawner.
So today's pink diamond is tomorrow's iron.

Certain spawners do seem to prefer certain items, for example, the spawners on riverview on the hills near the street with the expensive houses have a strong tendency for meteors, but that doesn't mean they don't spawn metals or gems,
The items spawned don't seem to have a consistent value either.

Hmmm. I think I will put one of each gem spawner on a lot, and then see what spawns.

I used the spawners and it is still random.  I put tiberium down and usually get something else, about every three days I will get a tiberium and if I do not get it in time, it will go away.  I got sidetracked and forgot about it and went and looked and it was gone.  If you find a pink diamond one day, like they say, the next day it could be iron.  The book had a chart where all of the gems are, but they are not always there, I did happen to find a few, so it can be very helpful.
Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?

I have only found one. It was in the catacombs. I haven't found it any other place in Sunset Valley.

There are different Spawner Types - Seed, Bug, Metals & Gems but with in those catagories there are more types, Large or small spawners (I think) some can be Gem or Metal Only. I think that is pretty close from my experience with Buydebug.
