Brown's Feed and Tack Store

Cutesy little pet shops are fine, but what a farming community needs is a feed and tack store.

By marylcmarsh at 2011-10-24

I created this using a pet shop cash register, hoping to have my sim buy it for investment. Unfortunately, EA has not deemed to make this kind of community lot buyable yet. But, it's there and I will buy it in the future, if and when EA gets their act together.

The store is populated with farm type stuff, crates, shelving, a restroom, and even a table where locals can hang out. It's highly reminiscent of similar stores found in small towns all over the midwest.

Mary - this is wonderful!  You should upload it and put it on the swap shop!

Thank you, Ricalynn. I would if I was smart enough to figure it out.  :-\

I really don't know why EA doesn't provide us more types of cash registers. I think there are a lot of us that get as much enjoyment out of building things as actually playing the game. I'd love to see cash registers for hardware stores, clothing stores, maybe even a Simworths variety store. Also, I wish they'd allow us to designate different levels on a lot for separate purposes -- for instance, let our sims live in the upstairs areas.

I've created several restaurants, sports bars, and a really cool nectar store with attached room for nectar tasting parties. But I want more variety!

Well, I tried, and began the upload, but it times out before the file will load.

Okay, after several tries when the upload timed out, I finally got it to load here

@MaryMarsh: Can you upload some pictures of the building? I am very interested in how it looks from the inside.

It's not fancy. If an when the property is buyable, it needs to stay low priced to make the investment worthwhile.
