Puppies and destruction

When playing as my sims puppy the game will not let her play with the pet toy create is there a fix to this or another way to bring the destruction meter down for puppies? Thanks in advance for you help.

My puppy can't use the toy crate either, but it can use the little green dog chew toy found in buy mode.

They can you just need to get a sim to get the toy out for them.

After my Sim has read his morning paper he gives it to the puppy to destroy.

Yeah, you just have to take one of the toys out of the puppy. It's too small to get into the crate, I guess.
