Dog got stuck in the stable

Hi all *waves* am new to the forum.

Just thought I'd report a small incident that befell my poor dog yesterday; he decided to follow his friend the horse into the stable and take a nap together. The following morning when I let my horse out, the dog was unable to get out.

I tried for ages putting the horse back in and letting it out, to get my dog run out - but to no avail. In desperation (having tried everything, including trying to delete the stable) to save the dog's life, I put him up for adoption. Thankfully, that worked, he was teleported out of the stable and whisked away. I was then able to adopt him back into my household.

So until this little glitch is fixed, if your cat or dog gets stuck in the stable, the only option I found to save it is to put it up for adoption.

I wonder if, because a dog is a member of the household, if you could have used the reset sim cheat to fix it without having to adopt him out.

Maybe you could use moveobjects on and move him out in buy mode?
I believe that instead of "resetSim (Sim Name)" cheat would be "resetPet (Pet Name)" but I don't know really. Moveobjects on works on everyone if your dog wasn't freezed.

Perhaps someone with pets can test it? I get pets tomorrow.

Anushka is right, using moveobjects on, you can move anything around, even a sim.  That little cheat is wonderful and has gotten my sims out of alot of messes.

Ah! Just proves how little I know about the game (don't use cheats, but I should probably look into some of the anti-mess cheats), thank you for the information.

My cats keep getting stuck in the strangest of places; the floor for instance. Staring at a chair is another one.

I know that reset sim works on pets as I have used it.
But to be fair as I didn't type the exact command si I don't know if it's "Reset sim" or "Rese pet", I can just guarantee that there is a way to reset them  (I use some programs that we don't talk about here that's why I didn't type the command directly )
