Exporting pets?
« on: December 25, 2011, 12:54:55 AM »
Sorry if this has been asked before, it's been months since I was last here(forgot even about my own topic about when my horse ate my Cheese plant), but is there a way to export pets as files the same way you do with Sims? I don't see a Share option except for 'Share on Exchange' which isn't what I want to do. I tailored my pets to be my own, and I just want to back them up as I have to reinstall all of my custom Sims every time I format my computer. I don't want to lose my cats, dog, or horses next time I have to do a full wipe. It seems a bit lame that EA wouldn't let you export them as files to be reinstalled later.

If you use Share on Exchange on your pet from CAP, it doesn't automatically upload it to the exchange.  (That requires further action from you.)  It places it in your Exports folder like with human sims.  You can then copy and paste that file anywhere you'd like to protect it the next time you wipe your computer.
