Simple Horse Ranch
« on: October 21, 2011, 03:59:19 PM »
Since I felt my horses needed more room on the property to gallop, I built a simple horse ranch for my "Morgan" family. Please, keep in mind that I'm not a builder. In fact, I'm terrible at it, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Anyway, here it is:

Okay, no it's not. I'm not able to post images because, well...I don't know how. I tried using Carl's instructions but being old -- and not techie -- it was like Greek to me. How do you copy the image? I tried copying it from photoshop to paste into post...no go. then I saved it and tried to just copy and paste the file. That didn't work either.

If anyone has built at big horse ranch on a 64x64 ranch for downloading, I'm interested  :D

Thanks

Hi Jude - welcome to the forum!

To put pictures in your post you need to upload them to a photo sharing site such as the Gallery here on Carl's website or Photobucket or something similar.

Then you need to find the address of the picture (there is a link in Photobucket and it is visible in the Gallery when you edit your album.)

In the text of your post you put the following code wherever you want a picture to appear:

address of the picture you want to appear goes here

Do not include the space between IMG and the bracket at the beginning and the end of your picture - I had to include it here so that the code would show up.

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me.  I'll be happy to help if I can.

Thanks, Katluvr. Now my face is red!

Now, let's see if I can follow your simple instructions:

For someone who claims not to be much of a builder I think you did an excellent job!

If you would like constructive feedback on your build you might want to post several different pictures of it in this thread.  This is the place to show off what you've been working on and we have some excellent builders who can offer advice to help you improve your skills.

I'm glad you got your posting "Issues" sorted out! That Ranch looks great! If there isn't any CC, and you don't mind, I'd love to download that when I get pets!

Thank you.

I appreciate all the help I can get...LOL

There's no CC in this. I don't like it. I used "almost" exclusively the new Pets items to decorate the house. The floor plan is actually a "cottage" that I found in the Better Homes and Gardens at the hospital magazine rack (Don't tell!) You can download it if you want. I guess I would post this in the Swap area for you to do that. It's not quite finished yet. I think the outside looks unfinished still. BTW, my Morgan horses just had a  foal...my first!
