When having more money than the game can handle

Every thought about selling something expansive as a really heavy piece of Compendium?

If it's worth more than $99,999,999 simoleons, don't do it, as that is the max amount of money your family can have in this game.

I have one Compendium weighted 3813.16 kg, worth $285,470,693 simoleons.
When I decided to sell it, I got this message:

'Unfortunately, our bank's computer systems are unable to keep track of such large amounts of money. We have moved those extra Simoleons into our pretty cash offshore account. Be sure to stop by our next holiday party.'

Hmm, shall I send a message to EA that they own me $185,470,674 simoleons?

I love that quote. Just shows that Sim banks rip you off like other banks!

Have you considered donating to "Life Fruit for Elders"? Our elders are dropping like flies and every simoleon that you donate helps keep one cantankerous elder around for another day.

Hahaha, funny. That's the text when you click the mailbox while having the Good trait, isn't it?

@AbrahamC: Where did your text came from? I don't remember it from the game.

Same place. I think skills and other traits influence which two you get.

I have seen that one as well as something about pools without ladders, and a starving writers one that I can remember

Actually, I think it's random.  I have my good Sims donate money often since there's a decent moodlet involved, and they regular get different ones.

Of course, if you're not of the goody-two-shoes motivation you could always donate money to undermine a charity...

I was giving you tips on how to get rid of all that extra money so that it doesn't get embezzled by "The Man."  ;)
