Is it worth it?

I am considering which other Expansion Packs to get that will go with my Sims3.  I have W.A. and Gen.  I am planning to get Ambitions but my next question is...

I have ZERO interest in having vampires or zombies in my game; can this feature be turned off?

I discovered this site by following a link at Sims EA.  boy is this a godsend to me.  I have been struggling to play this game and I was wanting all the info I found here.  Thanks all over the place.

There is yet no way to stop vampires from eventually showing up in your town. If you like, save that money to buy Pets when it comes out, in about 20 days.
