Too bad you can't put lamps on those.  I tried moveobjects on Leto, it still places the lamp through the end table, not on top.  It still looks nice.  I did however use moveobjects on and placed a floor lamp through the table and depending on what floor lamp, looks just like a lamp is sitting on top of the end table.  It looked pretty cool. :)
Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?

Ah yes, I understand. But I wasn't mentioning my 'solution' because moveObjects on would have place it on top of the table, I knew it must float somewhere through it. But if you can't see it, it still will shine the area, which I thought Samoth wanted.

No, I wanted to put those Candle Sticks in my Re-Furbished Vampire Lounge but I couldn't, I also lost my Lounge when the saved game went buggy and I had to restart my sim and story. (Hannah Longing)

Does any else have a hard time getting the sectionals to turn a corner.  Seems like every time I try to use these I end up spending 5 minutes or more moving the seat around and turning it this way and that way trying to get to snap into place to make a corner.
I don't have this problem with counters, they just fall in place, but the seating is driving me nuts.
I'm working on a Sports Bar and was using the sectional seating to make a V shaped seating in front of a TV and I just spent about 15 minutes trying to get it to make the corner.

I tend to place my two pieces that go next to the corner piece first and then place the corner, the corner then falls nicely into place without too much trouble.

Oooh, I've been looking for those!  I missed them out of Sims 2, and I knew they were in Sims 3 but couldn't find them.  I never thought to look under the Misc. tab.

Thank you!

Thank you, That did help a lot when making straight runs in a L shape. Maybe I can keep what hair I have left. :)
Still having troubles when running them on a angle to form a V. But I don't run them like that very often.

I haven't tried what I'm about to suggest but reading your post gave me an idea.  How about placing temp walls where you want the sofa, then place the sofa and delete the walls?  I'm going to try it to see if it works, but perhaps someone already knows the answer.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Edit:  Just tried it.  it works.  Turns out, it was easier to start with the corner piece.  First, make the walls, then set the sofa section that will eventually become the corner link, then attach the side pieces.  Lastly, delete the temp walls.  Depending on how much stuff you already have in the house, it may take some finagling of existing pieces before you can set up the temp walls, but overall, using temp walls does seem to work.  I imagine halfwalls would work, too, and they might be easier to deal with.  At least you can see over them.
