Any way to find out which EP that patterns came from

I was wondering if there is any way of finding out where the patterns in Create a Style came from. They don't have the EP icon on them like the items in Build/Buy do.
Or maybe a list somewhere that shows the patterns from each expansion?

I believe that patterns come with update for base game, not with EP. I know I got patterns from Generations with patch, month before I got Generations.

So everyone should have all the patterns then. I was wondering about that, like when making a house if you needed to worry about which patterns you use.

Yes, everyone with updated game should have them - I think that building tool and patterns are for all, while objects can be filtered by that new feature we all get with update too:)

Custom patterns, however,have  a little star or asterisk shaped thing on them.  Even ones you make yourself in CAP.  Not sure about whether recolors show that way though.

That is correct and recolours have a little blue symbol of something I can't remember.
