Profile picture not changing

I don't know whether this is the right place to post this or whether there is some other place this has already been mentioned where I should put this but here goes.  I want to change my profile picture, but the only change I can get is between the one that I set before and no profile picture.  Entering the url of the picture and uploading from my computer doesn't work, it just goes back to the last selected thing, whether that be the old profile picture, or no profile picture.

Strange. I managed to link offsite to get my avatar today. What's the exact URL of the image you're trying to copy? Does it start with anything, anything other than "http://"? Does it start with "data" instead of "http://"?

It begins with "https://".

Is it a problem that it's secured or whatever?  Either way, it don't think it's the link's problem because I can't upload a new image from my computer either.

I just tried that picture. It didn't accept it either.

Ah ha!  I took away the "s" in "https://" and it worked!     Thanks seabody for trying it out.
