Patch 1.25
« on: September 10, 2011, 05:31:19 AM »
I saw a patch available for the game, but I haven't installed it yet.
Is anyone having bad experience with it? That's what I'm curious about.

Yeah and what Patch? There was a Store Patch available today is that what you mean't? If it is then there isn't any Info ont he Store Content Patch and it takes like seconds with unnoticable changes, so far anyway.

I also received the notification for the store patch.   It locked up on me and now I cannot get rid of the box or play my game.  I have to go to task manager to even get out of the launcher.

As for the patch, I have not downloaded it yet,  because I can't get to it.

Edit:  I move this topic, because I thought it would go better here. :)

Patch 1.25 is the patch that supposedly fixes Mac problems. It's also a Mac-Only patch. It fixes the graphics incompatibility and you can get into the game. After it creates a world of hurt! Most people including myself have to uninstall completely and reinstall. However, some have good luck with it. Now some silly store patch has wiped my store content too. This is all adding to my frustration

As far as I know, it seems to be a Mac only fix. There wee some troubles with the release of Lion (the new Mac OS) and some graphic cards. From what I see here: http://www.thesims3.com/game/patches/800586636, those are the only things addressed by this patch.

Then, a new big patch should be released soon (4-6 weeks), to update the game before Pets. So, I would say there is no need to rush on this patch if you're not concerned, as in a Mac user on Lion with the wrong graphic card.

Edit: Ninja'd! Good luck with your re-installation Nicky.

My game has just become unplayable thanks to a notice of "new store content patch available" that doesn't work.  I've tried clicking on yes, clicking no, and nothing I can do will get rid of the notice or get anything else to happen.  I've restarted the computer several times but every time I open the game this notice pops up and I can't do anything.  Does anyone know what can be done?

Wasn't there an option to "Reminds me later" or "Not now", have you tried that? I played after installing that Patch and built a house, all my Store Content was there. So I don't know.

Yeah, I tried everything and none of the options worked.  It just sat there and the only thing I could do was use Task Launcher to close the game.  But I finally got the thing to work by clicking on the Outdoor Living icon instead of the Sims3 icon that I usually click to open the launcher.  Outdoor Living installed the patch with no problem at all.

Ow, okey. Than it seems it's not a patch for me, as I work with Windows... let's describe that better: Windows work on me, on my computer. Well, most of the time it does.

Anyway, this topic I keep open for hopefully there are members 'out there' that can help NickyDuvyrda out.
Good luck girl!
