Toddler to child regression

My toddler was aging normally but then regressed! His days to becoming a child was around 37 days. When I checked it later in the game it was back to 60! I can't figure out what I may have done to cause this regression. Any ideas?

What lifespan are you playing on? Also, are you the only one playing on that particular computer with the Sims? If there are other people, they might be changing the lifespan and it stays that way for all the game files until someone changes it back. For example, let's say I play on normal lifespan. I save and quit and my brother plays. He likes to play on epic so when he gets on after me, he changes the settings to make the lifespan epic. When I get back on, I have to change the settings BACK to normal or else I'll be playing on epic.

Thanks for the replies. I've grown the life plant but haven't made ambrosia or eaten the plant. Also I'm the only one playing the game so I know no one has changed the life span. It's strange. I'm going to continue along and see what happens when my kid nears the 30 day mark to see if it happens again.

There were some problems with ages changing when using the dresser to change/plan outfits or the mirror to change hair but this was fixed in a patch, so are you patched up to date?
