Seriously in need of help on Ps3
« on: October 20, 2011, 03:39:55 PM »
I've been a long time Sims player on the PC and recently purchased a copy of Sims 3 for the PS3. However, I only got the game and no manual/guide to go with it. The problem I'm having is starting to greatly annoy me and ruining the game. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to work the controller. I seriously can't even put a single object into inventory let alone even manipulate my sims. I've spent hours trying to figure out how to add more than one family into my neighborhood. I've searched for walkthroughs and guides and what I've found is that they only tell you about what happens. which I already have a firm grasp on, but not the controller combinations on how to work the game.

I would really be ever so grateful if someone could point me on the right direction before I get so mad I give up totally.

I did some looking around and I found this site that gives the gameplay controls.  Hopefully that helps you figure out how to use the controller.  I have never played on the PS3, so I am unsure about how to move families and place things in your inventory.

I've never played it on PC (since my computer isn't meant for this kind of gaming), but I've done it on PS3 for awhile, I'm not sure if you can just edit/add/delete multiple families from the town, since you only have the Continue/New option in the Main Menu. You inventory is accessible from your Sim, if you click on them, you can find at the bottom of the options a Inventory button. There you can access your inventory, your houses inventory (food in fridges, books in bookcases, and toys in toychests), and the Offsite storage for items you don't want to have taking up space in your inventory/house (example: moving houses, puts items you want to keep there, if your Sims often try to go on their laptops when you want to build other skills, you can put laptops here, etc) This inventory is also accessible from the Build/Buy menu under the Family Inventory option. Hope this helped.
