I remember reading something about someone deleting duplicate files or something that may help cause this issue. I'm just not sure which thread or the specifics mentioned about what the person did.
In general I'm wondering if anything (other than what I've already done) can be done to speed it up a bit. There's about a 3-5 second delay before an interaction starts...very annoying. I've removed the DCBackup files. I've deleted the cache files (....do that regularly). I also increased the size of the Default.ini files (DCCache folder), if that has any detrimental effect. I only increased it from 200MB to 300.
I also understand that a routing issue may be to blame as well...seems to be the problem with Bridgeport and EA's incompetence in masking all unroutable terrain. So, aside from me having to find that file and use SP3C (or whatever it's called) and CaW to fix that, is there anything I can do to decrease that delay.
Yes, I have CC...not too much, 3rd party stuff and store stuff. And it does seem that the more populated the world the slower things become. But, it's far slower in BB than any other world I've played, aside from Bridgeport.
Thanks for any help.
EDIT: If anyone is having the same issue I've found a solution from a thread at a different site. Evidently, toddlers seem to be bugged somehow. I aged up 2 of the 8 in my Barnacle Bay, and the lag was gone. I don't know (don't think anyone knows) the reason why other than toddlers have an issue...or two. I'm sure using "AgeUpNPC" would work. I used [mod name removed- gerrr00].
