Issues with Links

Recently I, and other members, have been having certain issues with links on the forum, I'm afraid. I think I know what caused this.

For example, let's do a search using the search function above - "Babble Thread". The first result is this:

http://www.carls-sims-3-forum.com/sims-3-general-discussion/babble-thread/

If you click that link, you'll get an error. "404 - Not Found"

Instead, if you click the second result, you'll be able to view the Babble Thread:

http://www.carls-sims-3-forum.com/index.php/topic,697.940.html

Notice the ends of both links? One directs us where the Babble Thread really is, in letters (aka, in the section Sims 3 General Discussion, topic Babble Thread), whilst the second directs us to the topic of it. Only the second one works currently. The case is, during the period (around) June 27 - July 3, both links were working. After that, only the "old" version is working. But, since during the aforementioned week hyperlinks on the forum were made using the first version, most of those hyperlinks are useless.

I think this is connected to a server change or alike. Is there any way to fix this so that both links work, Carl? Thank you for your time.

The links within search will correct themselves within days as google crawls new parts of the site. The cause is addressed in the other thread
