Followed advice to annex Advorton. Tried 3 times to get ambition on platinum, but cannot get wellbeing higher than 10. Read somewhere else that playing with knight will mess up this ambition. But on here it says the opposite and tried it that way. So which way should I go: do quests that involve the knight or not?

Have you built any of the non-Hero buildings that do Well Being(Mill or Watcher Pavilion)? You can't open up all of the 12 slots without them.

I don't know of any reason to avoid using the Knight, or any other hero. As long as you check that the quest wont make you lose Well Being or Security then there should be no problems.

Okay, so I placed those buildings, but still, even though I have both safety and well-being at 12, the ambition seems to be stuck at gold. I deleted the save-game and started from scratch, and lo and behold...no difference yet again. What am I missing?

Is there any way to reset the ambition "medallion" without totally uninstalling the game?

If you have both Well Being and Security at 12 and have spent all of your QP and it's still not giving you the platinum medal then I'm not sure what to suggest. It sounds like it could be bugged.
