New Challenges......
« on: February 26, 2010, 03:17:01 PM »
I have had TS3 for some time now and I have done plenty of challenges, played through several legacies and had my single, party down neighborhood (which wasn't as much of a thrill as I thought it would be). Anyway, I almost hate to say this, but I am getting a bit bored with it. I love the sims, but what more can I do with this game to make it more exciting? I have all WA and HELS and will, of course, be buying everything EA cares to throw at me that relates to the Sims...because I am a sheep that way,....but I was wondering....what more is there to do with this game that I haven't done already?
Let me know what kind of stuff you all do to keep TS3 fresh and fun because I still want to play, I just want something different to do.

Make a Sim the opposite of what you usually make.  I usually make goody-two shoe type Sims with big families and dedicated to their jobs.  I just started one of the children to be evil and snobby and it's a lot of fun.  I haven't decided if her LTW will be to be super popular OR a heartbreaker.

You can be a hobo that practically becomes a permanent resident of the most luxurious in town just because he or she is an amazing schmoozer and very charismatic! That practically revived the game for me since it makes you actually work to get a bed and a hot meal every day!

Good ideas! perhaps I could make a whole family of hoboes and then make them all the complete opposite of me.

Like Pam said, you definitely need to head over to the Challenge section and read up on the 2010 Tournament and all of its challenges. There's a lot of variety — something is going to catch your eye.

I did read through them but none of them looked like something I could do. I did do the baby boomer challenge and the centurion challenge. I don't want to do the nectar making challenge because of my France issues (long story). I have been all over the internet looking for new challenges and haven't come up with any I want to do...sigh....

Well, don't worry — there's plenty more challenges to come. And all of them will be quite different from each other. So, hopefully something will grab your attention.

I have tried to come up with some of my own, but I just can't think of any. Perhaps the field will open up a bit with the next expansion.
