Death of a proxy - orville already a candidate

I am doing the death of a proxy quest - I got the crown and cloth and had to deliver it to peasant Orville but he wasn't among the converted......now when my priest has to choose a proxy candidate Orville isn't among the choices, but he is wearing the crown and clothes of the proxy candidate.

I have tried to become friends with other possible candidate and asked them to become a candidate, this didn't work.

I have converted Orville and become friends with him....but still he isn't a candidate choice.

Where do I go from here?

you can enable cheats and control click the mission objective to skip it entirely. It is the only way to deal with glitches. I had a problem like that with the dangerous minds quest, where you have to listen to the teacher, but my teacher never had the listen option attached to her. So I went into the system and enabled cheats so that I can skip the step entirely. Carl details the process in his guide
