Finishing Kingdom Ambition with leftover QP?

I've just annexed all foreign territories and have 16 QP leftover.  I really want to finish this kingdom ambition and move onto one it unlocks, but it won't seem to let me with the leftover qp...Anyone know if it's possible to end a kingdom ambition with QP left?

You need to use all of your Quest Points up before the next Ambition is unlocked.

The safest way to quickly use your leftover QP would be to start a quest and then cancel it.  You would have to do this several times until your QP was used up.

I don't think if you use 'testingcheatsenabled true' to set QP to zero that it would affect that particular kingdom.  If you go this route and it works, remember that you would have to go back in and reset it for the next ambition.

That is the way. Start quests then quit them.  But be careful that you don't end up with 1 or 2 QP with only 3 or 4 QP quests available.
You are stuck then except for using the testingzcheats trick.

Are you sure about that? I had 2QP left, and was able to do even a 4QP quest. I had showallvalidquests on, but nothing else.

No, you do not have to be able to afford the quest in order to select it.  I did the first ambition without any cheats, and by the end I only had 2 QP for a list of 3-4 QP quests.  Still, I had no problem selecting from any quest on the list.  The QP only exist to keep track of time, so to speak.  It doesn't matter if you hit zero or negative points, but when you do, the ambition is over.
