I appreciate this. In writing for Generations, it becomes clear why they didn't bother to release a guide. You know, Prima guides are usually full of those lists, and have OK sections for all the new concepts. The problem is there are a limited number of concepts to write about. Their book would have comprised of lists of furniture you could see in-game, moodlets, and a really tiny section on new gameplay. I probably only need to write a page or two to call it done, and it feels like I just got started. Sure there are some little things I could use like details on bedtime stories, and whether children can find their buried treasure after putting it under sand, but it's sentences that need to be added rather than pages. I've left it up to the community to help me polish it just because of the time commitment to payoff ratio for readers. I get a few emails each day that prompt me to open my HTML editor, so it's just a matter of time before this thing is 100% complete.
I'm confident most people feel that this expansion is every bit as rewarding as others, but it's just not the right type of content for guide writing.
