Invisible Career Reward

My Sim just reached the top of the culinary career and received the long awaited Master Chef fridge in their home inventory. I saw it there, a sleek black and silver ref. Unfortunately, when I tried to place the object in their house, it was invisible!    My Sim worked so hard to reach the top of her career and it's so sad that she won't be able to use her career reward.  I just installed generations, I don't know if this caused the glitch? Please help, what to do?
