Progress towards finishing a kingdom ambition isn't recognized?

oh, and Pam just merged our topics since they're similiar i pretty much just said "FINALLY someone else who's having the same issues."

another thing though.. aside from the kingdom ambitions, whenever i complete an achievement, it doesn't register with the game anymore.. i completed the Gruel Hoarder one.. but it didn't take.. the gruel just went bad in my inventory.. my monarch is wayy past level 10, (i have no idea how many bonus levels, but does it matter for this?), so shouldn't i have gotten the Max Monarch Achievment?

does this mean that after you recieve a medal for "[ ] ambition", you cannot collect on achievments anymore?

if so, that's really annoying.
