No consignment specialist working?

My sim is a sculptor, painter, and inventor. All her money comes from selling her art work and inventions at the consignment store. The only problem is there hasn't been a consignment specialist on duty in several sim days. I know that could just sell my stuff in buy mode, but she makes a lot more money from the consignment store. Why isn't there someone working at the store? I've never had this problem before, so I'm not entirely sure what to do.

Try using ResetSim * on the whole town.  If that doesn't bring someone to work, double check your town to see if there is a spot that everyone seems to be at.  I once had the entire population of Sunset Valley at the beach for four sim weeks then it just magically fixed itself.


If neither of these work/are happening, go into Edit Town and replace either the entire consignment shop lot or just the register inside the consignment shop to see if that helps.

Ok. I'll try that. Thanks for the help. I'll be sure  to post if none of that works.

You can also use ctrl+shift+c and type buydebug to replace the consignment store cash register. That will bring a new specialist to work within a few minutes.

You don't actually need buydebug to get a register for the consignment shop.  It will be listed under the community objects in build mode.
