How to get a tent in a new game without travelling?

I've seen people mention starting a family and having them live in tents. How can you get a tent in a fresh game without travelling?

At the same time hit control+shift+C
Type in "testingcheatsenabled on"
Hit enter
Control+shift+C again
Type "buydebug on"
Hit enter.

Go to buy mode. Under the tab that's called sort by type, there should be a question mark in the bottom left. Click on that. Scroll through the stuff until you find the tents.

Note: you have to have WA for this.

If you don't want to cheat, the other option would be to keep looking in the consignment store. One might pop up there.

I've never seen one in the Consignment Store.  Another option would be the sleeping bag that came with Generations.  It's in the section with beds.

Ah okay I thought it might be buydebug but I wasn't sure how to use that.

Im using the sleeping bags atm but you cannot woohoo in them haha and I'm trying to do the baby boomer challenge without cheating so I have a very small house so the kids are going to go camping when they turn child haha.
I suppose by getting the tent I am cheating though huh? Haha

That's why I said a tent might show up in the consignment store. I haven't seen one there either, but I probably haven't spent enough time there to see everything that can show up.

You can get a treehouse, sims can woohoo I it and kids can sleep in it.
