Yeah, you're totally right Pam!  Once those duplicate songs show up they just pretty much mess up the whole song singing thing.

When I saw they could learn songs, I kind of dreaded learning them since in TS2 for the BV EP they had some really annoying songs they would sing over and over again making me just ill!  At least these songs are a little better, but I just wish they didn't break out in song all the time.  I guess I should be glad it's not the "Sea Chanty"....Yo Ho Ho

I had my Sim learn the Chinese songs.  Since she's in the political career, she has max charisma and has a great singing voice (I assume that's tied to the charisma?  It was in Sims 2).  I actually really enjoy hearing her sing.  She only knows a couple of the songs, but I like the ones she knows!

Usually you can tell what kind of voice they have when they do the first round of learning a new song.  If their voice is off key, I will just cancel the action and forget about it.  If they have a good voice, then I let them continue and it is more enjoyable when they have a good voice.  Christopher Steel has an awesome voice and very deep and it does not bother me when he sings, especially when he sings to Agnes.  But, yes, it can be very annoying, to say the least.  Pam is right though, if they learn all of the songs, they will sing them one after the other and it is not too bad.

Lol I actually don't mind the songs too much but I guess it probably does get annoying after a while.

I had a flirty sim who only certain songs showed the flirty icon.  You can usually tell by the title of the song which ones will be considered romantic.

Yeah, for example the "I love you" song from France can be used to flirt another sim.
