How to start a Dynasty story?

Your creativity is your only limit. Most players simply begin with the set-up — a picture of the Founder. Traits chosen, etc. The Founder's spouse is often featured in the very first post. Just take a look at some sample Dynasty stories and you'll get a feel of how different players have tackled the intro.

As far as posting pictures you can use the forum image service or another site like Photobucket.

How to you retrieve your screenshots and upload them? I'm a little lost.

Assuming you go to the "upload file" part of the gallery, something should pop up with a list of files. You're looking for either EA or Sims 3. (it may vary from computer to computer) Once you get to Sims 3, then click on Screenshots. You will have a bunch of screenshot taken from in-game (you can take these screenshot by hitting "c" within the game) and you simply pick the one you want. I hope that helps.

When you open your game launcher, click on "uploads" and you'll see all your screenshots.  Other people may do it differently, but I look at what I've got and move the ones I want to use in the story to the desktop.  Once they're on the desktop, follow the instructions in the thread called "Register for Image Posting" here http://www.carls-sims-3-forum.com/index.php/topic,2881.0.html  to upload your pictures.  You'll have to register for the service first and create an album, but there are very detailed instructions on how to do that along with an excellent picture tutorial created by Samoht, one of our members.

I have Windows 7 but the basic idea of the tutorial I put together should help. I hope!
