Okay well.. two of my sim's children had their birthday on the SAME DAY. anyways, Renesmee was going from child-teen and Nicholas was going from baby-toddler (with his twin brother doing this the next day :/ ). Renesmee aged perfectly. I made her party after school, and put two cakes there so she could share the party with Nicholas. But it seems they got confused, no one crowded round either of them as they blew out their candles, and Nicholas didn't even blow out his despite me repeatedly clicking on the cake and on 'blow out candles'. So I exitted without saving and tried again, this time with one cake. My plan was to have Renesmee's party, then Nicholas's with a new cake. Perhaps I did this too late in the day.. I had last saved my game when it was round about 7.00pm sim-time and so I only had a matter of time before the end of the day.. Renesmee kept aging fine, I got to pick her traits because she done brilliantly at school, etc. but the first time I tried it with Nicholas I clicked 'blow out candles' and instead of blowing out his candles I just got a message coming up saying 'It's Nicholas's Birthday' which I have never had beore for any other sim and he transformed himself, without me getting to pick any traits. So once again I exitted without saving and started again. This time, Nick did blow out his candles but instead he still just transformed without any sign of trait picking. He had been brought up fine as a baby! More than fine! But I still didn't get to pick his traits? So I decided maybe I had indeed been slightly below average as a parent.. but then I noticed he only had two traits, as if he was still a baby, and the game hadn't picked any for him. I tried to shift click him to modify his traits but there was no space for a third trait to be picked, only two.
What has happened? I've already saved my game so there's no going back (I got pretty fed up of going back all the time..) Will Nicholas ever get his third trait? Or is it that when he's fully grown he will have just four traits?
Sorry if any of this is confusing, by the way. I'm rather confused myself, but if anyone doesn't get what I'm saying I will try and explain it a bit further and more clearer.
