Very very anti-climatic Mummy encounter

You may be the only one here who has gotten the Mummy's Curse.  Thanks for sharing the info with everyone.  I haven't encountered a mummy yet, but I know I'll have to soon.  I'll have to let a Sim die from the curse, too, just so we'll be able to know what happens.  Not going to like that very much!

My sim has also gotten a Mummy Curse.  He's a daredevil and brave and yet he was still scared!  So funny.  Anyways...You have 14 days to live, unless you do one thing off the long list of cures.  I decided the best way to go was to visit the Sphinx.  He was pretty miserable throughout the whole journey, but in the end he was cured, AND got a soulpeace and various gems (worth a ton of $), AND completed another tomb (which helped with his lifetime wish of exploring 6 tombs in each location).  Overall not such a bad thing.

i think the mummies only attack when you look in their sarcophogus...lol i'm such a coward - before my sim even set foot in egypt i trained her with snake charming til she could kiss a king cobra, had her master martial arts and go up to level 9 in athletics & i was still scared she'd get cursed!!!! then she meets her first mummy and POWW!! poor king raymundo rodiekhare (or whatever his name is) gets killed in a whirlpool of sand in like 5 seconds!

No, my Sim got attacked by two mummies without looking in the sarcophogus.  They just came out and attacked!

If you build your own tomb, you'll see that you can make the mummy come out pretty much at any time. Below my mansion I build an elaborate riddle-based tomb to get down to an extraordinary chamber of enormous riches, and in one of those rooms a mummy will attack the sim when he enters, for instance.
