Police Job

I'm playing the police career again now after not having touched it for a year or so.  My police officer just reached level 4, which is the level where reports start counting towards performance.  He also has a wish to question someone.  However, I cannot get the question option to come up as a social interaction.  I don't remember having trouble with this before.  Has anyone else had a problem with this, and did you manage to find a way to fix it?

I never had any problem in the past either.  It seems to be random, sometimes it shows up and sometimes it doesn't.  The only thing I did, was keep trying on different sims and you will eventually get the option.  Maybe to get the relationship higher.  This game has a mind of its own, lol.  I am not sure what happened because I never use to have this happen before.

Thanks for the responses.  It looks like restarting my computer fixed the problem.

Restarting does wonders.  I just wish it worked for everything else that goes wrong in the game, although, I feel fortunate that I have not had to many major problems.  I have not played the police career in a while, maybe I need to replay some of those professions again.  Glad that restarting helped your problem.

Myself, I never question people (it just doesn't give good results). But if you're intent on it, you can't question other cops or your family members. Try questioning someone like a friend or a stranger. Strangers won't exactly give you the best results, however. Myself, I prefer sticking to having my Sims dig in the trash cans, just as long as they can go home to a warm shower. Rich people tend to throw out diamonds, so it's profitable as well~.

I never bother doing reports I just might do one if it gets in the terrible stage. I instead work on getting everything else in the meters to outstanding and doing all the opportunities I can. I found I was still able to get 1-2 day promotions every time without doing reports. What does the law enforcement beeper do? I think you get it at the same level as the car.

The Law Enforcement beeper is your pager. You're like a doctor on call. But worse. The beeper will: A., wake you up in the middle of the night and summon you up to work; B., Summon you to work while your children are getting married; C., Summon you to work while your wives are giving birth.

I sometimes ignore these 'emergencies' if something important comes up. If my Sim's not doing anything productive, off to work he/she goes!

The beeper will summon you at any given time (provided you are not on vacation). It's really a pain.

Thanks that what I figured because I couldn't take it out of my inventory. I used to be called to work on off hours a lot but now that my sims life bar for elder is full (gonna die soon) I never get called to work on off hours. Its weird.
