Ice Personality
« on: April 09, 2011, 10:49:04 AM »
I've been trying and trying to get my sculptor to make 25 Ice Sculptures so they won't melt, but It's taking forever! :(
Is there any way to make her sculpt faster? :'(

Not that I know of, keep mood high, sometimes sculptures will go super fast, and I think it happens more often if the Sim is happy, though that currently unsubstatiated.  My self crafted sculpting gnomes finish sculptures for me at night, but if you don't have one that won't help.

It's a pain to get ice personality, I agree.

When you start an Ice Sculpture make the Ice appear then cancel the sculpt action. Then send your Sim back to doing it again and a chunk breaks off, it saves some time but Ice Personality is annoying. Agnes has almost maxed her Skill from Level 5 and still has 12 more Ice Sculptures to do!

If I remember this correctly I have made sure that I first finished another challenge that came with the sculptor skill that would make my sim sculpt faster. Obviously, faster sculpting will bring you faster to that 25 pieces of ice. Check your Skill book and see if I was right with it. It could save you time.

The Sculpt Faster Challenge is Sculpt 20 Sculptures which you could do with Clay or you could just earn it through making Ice Sculptures.

That was the title I was looking for. I didn't have my game in handreach so I couldn't check at the moment.
Simstar, I suggest you complete the Sculpt Faster first and than go on with the ice sculptors.

It's taken Agnes about Two Weeks and she only has Four Sculptures to go.

I am really getting sick of sculpting with Mortimer in my Dynasty. He has been sculpting for a week now and he still needs 15 sculptures to finish it!  >:( Christopher managed to finish it in 1,5 weeks, so I have no problem with sculptures missing, luckily. In the meantime, while working on the challenge, he managed to supermax Sculpting, and to max out his Sculpting career as well. :D
Well, that's your opinion, isn't it? And I'm not about to waste my time trying to change it. - Lady GaGa

She has both the Chiselmaster and Prolific Sculptor challenges completed. Thye help a lot, she's at 19 sculptures now. She's also a vampire, don't know if that helps at all. :-\

Vampirism seems to help if your sim is a child. But I'm almost sure child sims can not sculpt at all so vamparism is probably not handy in this case.
Unless they skill faster at night (which would be obviously).

The problem with using clay to achieve the Chiselmeister challenge is that when you're done, you still need 25 ice sculptures.  Honestly, there is no faster way to achieve the Ice Personality challenge than to just sculpt ice statues starting the moment you're able, and to not sculpt anything else until you complete it.

Teenagers can sculpt. They're affected with the bug, so they should learn sculpting crazy-fast.
If this is not a challenge/legacy/dynasty game, then turn Make Needs Static on and keep her sculpting.
If it is a legacy/dynasty, where the Moodlet Manager is allowed, then use it often.
