I decided to go after a couple of Achievements in my current game:  It was a big Whale (all 10 heroes have the Whale trait) and Gluttons and Guzzlers (5 heroes with each fatal flaw).  If anyone hasn't yet played the Whale trait, eating whale meat gives a 24-hour mood boost.  I wish the creators of the game hadn't included whale hunting as whales of all sorts are rapidly becoming endangered or extinct, but oh well, it's just a game.

As for the fatal flaws, I think Drunkard is the easiest one to manage.  But gluttons aren't too hard, particularly on 2-person quests.  Just have one of the characters cook a large stew, then shift it back and forth between their inventories and they can both live on it all day.

Bloodthirsty seems to be easy to me, all you have to do is have a fist fight, however on the odd occasion your sim will lose and get punched moodlets and a 'Lost fight' moodlet which is a bit of a bummer.  :)

I give bloodthirsty to my fighter sims since sparring satisfies it and gives them good XP.
I gave my Jacoban priest cruel and got rid of the debuff by yelling at the kids that were CONSTANTLY in the church, since you can't convert kids, anyways.

I gave Bloodthirsty to my Spy and the sparring works great at removing the debuff, and as an added bonus, you get a +5 focus for 6 hours buff for removing the debuff.

I gave my Monarch the Bloodthirsty FF and usually get rid of the debuff by the Threaten For Money action. The targeted Sim usually puts up a fight which clears the debuff. The money is nice too.

I myself hated bloodthirsty for my knight, just because he always got beat up and had a whole lot of negatives. I love Unkempt, however. +10 mood constantly after the first day is great. It's not very high, but it's always there. (unless you bathe, but if you had the trait, why would you?)

So far the best 2 traits I have found for any hero are Adventurous and Hopeful Orphan.  You find that letter within minutes of starting and read it once every 12 sim hours...get a very nice +30 buff, then go on an adventure in the woods once every 12 hours for a +20 buff.  Thats +50 all the time!  Then choosing Insecure as my fatal flaw hardly effects my mood, and you don't have to do anything real time consuming to remove the negative buff...tasks usually have you talking to other sims, I just select 'Chat' in addition to the task.  All in all...these 3 traits make it very easy to keep your hero...any hero...in the green.
