Gathering Inspiration

I'm playing my Bard for the first time.  One of her responsibilities is to gather inspiration for 2 hours.  I've been having her ask for inspiration from all of the Sims in the tavern and she gets it from them, but it's not counting toward her responsibility.  She's been doing this for 2 hours on the game clock, but the responsibility says she still has the full 2 hours to go.  I know I'm missing something.  Any suggestions?

Hi Pam-I may not know if this is the case or not but I do remember that with one of my hero's.  I think I may have clicked on the hero himself and it said something to that effect, gather inspiration.  I could be wrong but I guess it's worth a try.

Thanks, Jancy.  I tried that, but all she gets is Change Outfit, Whittle, and Pray.

Oh I'm sorry Pam - one more thing that I just thought of was I think I may have also clicked on the ground somewhere for one of my heros and they got the option to gather inspiration.

It's definitely clicking on the ground to "gather inspiration" and the type of theme you get depends on the location. ie. money theme near the merchant.
