Can you get pregnant from regular Woohoo?

Just what it says.  Not using the Trying For Baby option.  Just using Woohoo and wondering if there is even a tiny chance to get pregnant.

It's widely known that you cannot get pregnant from standard WooHoo.
But I guess if you asked someone who had seen the code, they could give you a definite answer.
Generally though, no.

What I've read is that there isn't a definitive "no you cannot get pregnant from woohoo" but that the chances are very, very low (<1%) so the likelihood that your Sims will get pregnant is next to zero. Now none of my Sim couples have ever been woohoo-happy, but since TS3 came out, I have yet to have a pregnancy result from woohoo.

Guess I will just have to go with same-sex if I want to be sure then.  The rabbit-hole challenge does not allow you to add on to your family unfortunately.

Without a mod that specifically changes it, there is absolutely no chance of pregnancy from standard woohoo so if you are doing a challenge from here it won't be an issue (since you aren't using any mods).

The chances are so low that my male/female couples have never produced an offspring during a challenge. Personally, I don't worry about it but you're free to play the challenges as you wish.

I have a question that sort of is on the same topic.

What about the option to WooHoo in the time machine? I know some people have reported that some Sims come back from the past or future with "kids" that look like them. This has not happened to my Sims yet. If you WooHoo in the time machine can the female Sim come back "expecting" or do they come back with the baby/child/person already born?

It doesn't just happen with WooHoo. You can also visit the future/past and come back with a child "stuck under a cart" and events like that.
If it's the future, I think you get an Elder, with the past, it's a Teen or Young Adult.

Also, again I think regular WooHoo is just that - Regular WooHoo. You'd need to Try for Baby to almost guarantee that you will get a child.

I have talked to people who have seen the code, and they say that there is no chance to get pregnant from a regular woohoo. 

As far as the time machine goes, traveling to the future seems to always result in an elder "child," regardless of the age of the time traveling sim.  Traveling to the past has resulted in a child and a teen for me, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that young adults can result as well.

I disagree I just had it happen to my legacy game. Raquelle just had identical twin girls from it. Of course my game is odd anyway. I've also had it happen once in another game when I first got Sims 3.

It would have to be a bug, or an accidental misclick (I've done that before ).  The game itself doesn't include a mechanism for accidental pregnancy, which is why several people have taken it upon themselves to make mods that do this.  Personally, I do wish it was at least remotely possible because I think it would add a bit of realism to the whole woohoo thing.  But I don't want it enough to download a mod to get it.

I had an unexpected (and disallowed) pregnancy in one of the challenges last year.  I was just positive that I had clicked WooHoo, but I have to admit that there's a chance that I accidentally clicked Try for Baby.  If the code really doesn't allow pregnancy from WooHoo, I think we're probably misclicking without even realizing it.

Lol which is exactly why I won't completely discount a bug in this instance.  There is definitely something odd going on in that game lol.
