Wedding quest problem

When I chose this quest I made a very bad choice of bride, she's in the stocks and it has been two days and she hasn't been let out. I am right at the beginning where you have to kiss the prospective bride. I can't do anything so the groom to be and the best man are just doing their responsibilities but not much else. What can I do if she never gets out? I am doing the complete as many quests as you can ambition so quitting this one is not an option as I will loose the QP. I don't want to cheat either. Anyone else had this problem?

I did this quest and got an opportunity to ask the Monarch to release her from the stocks.  I think I got that on the first day of the quest.  Have you gotten that message yet?

No I haven't. The only thing I have to do is kiss her, which I can't do because she is in the stocks. I think I might just keep playing and see how many days it takes before she is let out and how much it effects the level (how far it drops down).
