Considering the LTW is called 'Private Aquarium Lifetime Wish' would naturally lead one to believe the perfect fish must be in an aquarium and not in a pond in order to complete the wish.   ;)

I finished this wish once, but finally kept my perfect fish in my inventory until I had enough to stock my individual aquariums with.  I learned this the hard way, as at first I placed them in the aquariums when I caught them, but they tended to die because I did forget to feed them.  :)

Note: You don't have to feed them when in your inventory or when placed in a chest on your lot.

This is probably one of the easiest LTW to complete, especially with this dynasty and having to fish anyway.  In my first dynasty, she finished it right after she turned YA, so that was pretty good. :)

Metro also reports that the LTW is fulfulled by putting the fish into the large aquarium that came with High End Loft.  It holds up to six fish.

Just make sure you don't put fish together that eat each other in the large aquarium. You might just lose one or two - lol! ;D

Oh, you're right!  I've had that happen.  If a particular fish has another fish as its bait, it will eat it in the aquarium.

Ow? That is really interesting to know! I didn't know this before. Have you ever seen a fish eating another one or getting a notice that your full tank was at a moment mysterical empty except that one fat predator?
Do you also get a notice when one got eaten?

No, there's no notice about it.  I just happened to have the camera on the aquarium and saw a fight between the fish.  It was the cloud with random symbols like when Sims have a fight with each other.  I could see that it was a Deathfish and an Angel Fish.  Then when I clicked on the aquarium to see the fish in it, I was missing one Angel Fish.  I tested it a couple of times, but I didn't see another fight.  However, I could see that some fish were gone.  I've got a screenshot of it somewhere in the Forum.  I'll see if I can find it.

Update:  I was mistaken about having a picture of the fight, I think.  This is the picture I was thinking of and there's no fighting.  I may have taken a screenshot of it, but I'm certain I'll never find it.

Wow Pam, I've never seen the fishes so close before. They are looking scary, except for the Angel Fish. How brave your sim must be to put a hand in THAT aquarium to wash the window! :O

Yeah, I thought it was awesome that I could zoom the camera into the tank like that.  Really nice graphics.

I remember that picture too Pam.  That has been some time ago, but, if I remember correctly, one fish was after another fish, teeth and all. :)

If the LTW for the Xbox 360 is called "Presenting the Perfect Aquarium" and the description says you must have 13 perfect fish in aquariums...  then, yes, they have to be perfect.  If it's a different name and description, then I don't know because I don't have the console version of the game.
