How can I change between heros?

I don't realy understand how to change between heroes. If I have both a monarch and a priest, how can I play them both?

The way I've found to change Heroes is to choose a Quest that requires the particular Hero you wish to play.  As far as I can tell, you cannot change Heroes during a Quest.

There are some quests that require two heroes to play.  One is the main hero and the other sort of a helper.  If you have this kind of quest you'll have two face icons showing and can click either one to give them things to do.  I found it easier if they weren't on the same time schedule, so one could be asleep while the other did their part of the quest.  Other than that, you don't switch your characters.  It's just not possible to do as far as I know.

I am fairly certain you mean during quests, but you can switch characters at will once you finish an ambition and go into the "Free Time" quest or something like that. Leveling is disabled during that, however. Hope that helps.
