Create a World won't start
« on: March 29, 2011, 04:23:34 PM »
It shows an error message saying that my Sims game does not have the latest patch, and to download the patch and to uninstall & reinstall CAW again. My game's definitely up to date, I[ve uninstalled & reinstalled 3 times - can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks

Do you have the latest CAW version? Check at the official site for it, and try with latest one.

Try reinstalling it.  I think I've had to do that when new patches come out.  Not entirely certain though.

I have a similar if not identical problem. CAW downloads and installs like normal, then when I load it, the loading screen comes up, followed by a message telling me "CAW is not compatible with your version of Sims 3. Uninstall, download the newest version, and then install". I quit out of the message and the game disappears. I installed again not half an hour ago.
I have all EP's and SP's except FL and OL.

Edited to rephrase the statement, and to add: The message is something like that.

Hm, I have no solution but one thing I haven't read here is that it could be such an identical problem as in the time after installing Ambitions (or was it World Adventures?) that CAW didn't work anymore.
We all needed to wait for EA to release a patch that has solved the problem, but it took a while before they did.

What you could do, but it is very timeconsuming, is to install the game again, but without the latest expansion, which is at the moment I type this Late Night. Than you know it is because of that last expansion or not.
But if you ask me, just don't do it and wait for EA to fix it. You're savefiles will either get corrupted and unreadable or you will miss objects and things related to Late Night after you startup that savefile.
You could call EA about this problem, if you like.
