Quest not available for hero?

Okay, I'm playing the Imperial Domination ambition now and of course I have to choose quests specific to the territories I want to annex in order to do well in that ambition.  One of those quests (Advorton) is available in my list of quests right now, and it says that the knight is the primary hero for that quest and the merchant is the secondary hero.  I have both of those heroes in my game with their appropriate buildings placed, and yet it tells me to 'select a valid option' when I try to select the quest.    Any ideas why that would be?

Look at the locations needed for that quest.  I think you have to have a kingball court and a tavern as well.

Another thing to check is the level of your knight and merchant.  Some quests require the hero to be a certain level.  If your hero is lower than the required level, the quest will still show up but you won't be able to do it.

Insufficient level would also be my first guess - many quests require a level 5+ hero - well, though I really loved my physician and blacksmith I had to do a couple of other quests to push my relevant heroes to level 5.

Ah, excellent info/hints.  I think my knight may be too low in level then - I'll have to choose quests for him and level him up.  Also, I know I have the kingball court but I don't think I've added the tavern yet into this ambition.  Thank you, that helps so much!

The advorton quest you have to have a tavern and a kingball court in order to do it.  I don't think level actually matters for it specifically.
