Question About Dig Sites
« on: December 26, 2009, 10:12:11 PM »
I'm new here, so if I'm not supposed to create a new post, please let me know! I just bought the Tears of Horus and it's showing me dig sites. How do I dig? I searched for it first, but I couldn't find anything on how you can dig.

Hi rjasonj and welcome to our Forum!

You're correct in posting a new topic for this.  If a thread doesn't already exist, we definitely want a new topic created.  So thanks!

When you find the location of a dig site, you need to click on the site (it looks like rubble sticking up out of the ground) and click "Excavate."  You Sim will start digging at that spot and you'll get messages about what he/she has found, which all go into your Sim's inventory.

After working on Egypt, clearing every tomb there and only coming up with 4/5 canopic jars, I have a lot of interest in excavating these dig sites now. Twice I've gathered relics for my collection from them. Expect maps of dig sites across all countries soon. I think excavating is a viable self-employment option but think it might be a little under-utilized..
