Maywood Community Center

Lot size:  30x40
Common rooms: 3
Bathrooms:  2
Cost when placed on lot:  $65,204
Requires:  Base game and World Adventures EP

I built this lot with 15 Maywood Drive in mind, hence the name. This is a pool, playground, park, restaurant, recreation room, media room and nursery all in one.  The perfect destination for children after school or the family on the weekends.  I tried to give it an eclectic feel as if the furniture was donated by the neighborhood or found at a second hand store.  But feel free to change.  Now for the tour.  Enjoy!

The full size pool and lounging area:

Fully functional splash pad for the kids:

Lifeguard Tower (hottie not included):

Playground:

Fully functional snack bar:

Or you can BBQ:

Sims can chose to eat inside:

Lots of activities in the rec room:

The media room:

The quiet room where nooboos can nurse and nap:

Not pictured are the bathrooms with showers.  I left space for those who want to add lockers giving it more of a realistic feel.  If any of you guys add lockers or more games from other expansions in the rec room would love to see what you came up with.  Thanks!

*Note - Earlier I did something stupid and deleted the finished file before I was able to upload it to my launcher.  So some of the interior shots may be a bit off as I had to completely rebuild the inside from scratch.  Its probably about 99% accurate.  I was just too tired to go back and redo the shots.

Thanks guys!  Just a quick note about the splash pad.  Its got a water fountain feature and the yard sprinkler sharing one space with the cheat "moveobjects on."  You can use one of your sims to turn the sprinkler on and play in sprinkler.  It is fully functioning even with the water fountain spout sitting under the sprinkler.  I got the idea from one of the city parks where I live.

Jancy - I was trying to go for an under the sea theme and your pattern fit perfectly, I just recolored it to soften it a bit for the room.  Still going to use the red version one of these days too.

Filly, that's perfect! The sprinkler area is such a great idea; I see them at real life water parks from time to time. I see you've got the WA food register up and running as a snack bar too. The little details like the beach towels and awnings are awesome, and I also love the screenshots of Sims interacting on the lot. Sweet!  :D

This is absolutely fabulous!  We have those splash pools all over around here and the kids just love it.  A really big one is across from the library so the kids can cool off, or chill out and read.  This truly is the most perfect set up I've seen yet.  Where did you put it?  I'm definitely adding it to my various town remakes.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

Ausette - I love adding clutter and other little things to give lots more of a realistic feel. I originally had put some ice chest coolers by the towels. But they were from the Dr. Pepper promotions and I didnt think everyone had them. I also put the napkin holder with the mustard and ketchup item from the 50s set from the store but again was an item I didn't think everyone would have.

Joria - the lot is in Sunset Valley, 15 Maywood Lane, not Drive like I thought. It is directly across the street from the Bunch house. There is an empty house that I moved to the vaccant lot on the other side of 15 Maywood Lane. I think this fits in wonderfully there.

How beautiful! I've bookmaked it, and I'll download it soon!
Also, in the second-last picture, how did you get the mother to sit down with her baby? I didn't know it was possible!

No cheats used. She was holding her nooboo and I just clicked on the couch and the option to sit came up. I find it funny that they will only stand to watch tv while holding a nooboo but when there is not tv they are happy to sit on the couch.

You know that little swimming pool thing?  I think it's Le Petit Shark or something?  The one by the roomates house?  I'm already moving the houses around that to put in Naga's poolside club, but if I remove the useless shark pool this would fit in well there also.
Although putting it where you have it would give that area of town a nice pool/center to go to.  I can see where it would be swamped with people.
