Yeah, okay, I know about vampires, but...what happens if your squeaky clean politician embezzles?  I can't make myself (my Sims) do it.

Your Sim will receive an amount of money dependant on how your Campaign Funding tone is going. If you do it too many times, there's a chance they'll be caught, fired and offered a job in the Criminal track instead.

Have you tried the 'dream' scenario?

Save your game.  Then let your squeaky clean politician embezzle.  See what happens - share with us - then exit the game without saving.
Makes it all a 'dream' - your squeaky clean politician did not embezzle - no sir, not he.

EDIT:  Ah Ausette posted just as I was typing up my suggestion.  Ausette's answer was much more helpful than mine.

That's okay, happens to all of us. I use the 'dream' scenario a lot when I want to test something, so that's a good technique to share too. :)

@Joh:

Please make the titles of your topics more specific.  People who are browsing the Forum need to know what the topic is about and the one you used is too vague.  You can use the Modify function on your first post to change the title.

'Dream' scenario? Haha, that's a nice name for it. I've always called it 'changing the past' or 'alternative universe' but 'dream scenario' sounds even better.
Politician embezzles, that is steeling money from the government ingame right? Last time my sim did my game was still installed as the Dutch version so I had to ask.

...I can't make myself (my Sims) do it.

I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one with that problem!  My vampire sims are all vegetarian and only drink plasma juice or, on special occasions, their romantic partner.  I can't bring myself to create a sim with evil or mean spirited as traits.  The closest I've come to the dark side is that my dynasty founder is a klepto and he has stopped stealing now that the family is on more secure financial footing.  I feel silly considering it's only a game.   :-[

I think you play the game reflected to how you are in your daily life, although I don't know that for sure of course. I once have played a evil mean spirited sim who was beating up a few of my family sims, stealing stuff and going completely GTA style but I really got board quickly. I real life I haven't beat up anyone (yet) and also stealing is not my thing (still no criminal record for this boy ;)), so I think it is theirfore that I don't really can enjoy it as much ingame as in real life.

Maybe, just maybe if I get that midlife crisis when I become 26...

Thanks Ausette, that answered it perfectly for me!

@ Gheez  A 'dream', excellent name for quit and save under certain circumstances! ;D  I just can't seem to make myself, er, my Sim do it.  I'd feel guilty anyway, like it was still noted on his permanent record or something.  He is such a rare creature, an honest politician!

(Plus the opportunity to steal pops up unexpectedly, and I don't want to lose even ten seconds of a game that's working well). ;)

In my latest story, I am having a hard time making my sim be mean.  I have never really done that, but it is quite fun though.  They always want to do something bad.  What is disturbing, I have a screenshot of my sim with the thought bubble of her niece and she is standing there twirling her wrench, that is scary, lol. :)
