Sims forever drinking coffee

I've had this glitch for several years now, and it's just starting to bug me. Whenever I have my Sims drink coffee, they do not stop drinking that cup of coffee. They would drink it all day long if I let them. I had a butler who peed himself because he would not stop drinking his coffee. Is there anything I can do?

Whenever I run into odd glitches or even something annoying I try either of these:

1. Moving the household to a new house as a way resetting the household. Or evicting the household.

Sometimes what I like to do is save household from edit town and save their house separately to the library. Bulldoze their house. Replace their house and add them back to their home. It's another way of resetting the household and house. More details in the how to linked below.

2. Use Nraas MasterController - https://www.nraas.net/community/MasterController to Reset Everything.

Reset Everything - Click on Mapview > City Hall > Nraas > MasterController > Town > Reset Everything
