Sims 3 not working on my macBook (Sims 3 quit unexpectedly)

Hi,

For the past 3 weeks, I have been unable to play Sims 3 on Origin on my Macbook Pro as it crashes within seconds once the games is launched and I received the error message "The Sims 3 quit unexpectedly" (See attached image). The Worlds I am using are Sims 3 Late Night and Sims 3 Pets.

I have reinstalled Origin numerous times at this stages, selected the "repair" option on the Origin, re-downloaded the Sims 3 game on Origin and I also deleted the cache files in the "Electronic Arts" folder, Still, I cannot play the game.

My computer specifications are as follows:
- MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)

- Operating System: macOS Monterey version 12.6.2
- Processor: 2.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7

- Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

- Graphics: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

It looks like you may have already done this, but if you haven't, try posting about the issue on the answers.ea Sims 3 Tech Mac forum.

They are more familiar with Mac computers and should be able to give better advice.

I did some searching and found a couple of threads from answers.ea. They give the suggestions of uninstalling pets and try playing on low settings.

Or did you already try that and it's still not working?  If that's the case, you might want to edit your post at answers.ea to note that.
