Cannot Serve Meals or Make Single Serving on Stove

I added this game today and now I cannon serve meals or make a single serving on my stove, I tried buying a new stove, but that did not help. I did not know where to ask this question. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Have you checked your lot challenges?
Your sims might be living on a lot with the "Simple Living" lot challenge.
When that challenge is active, your sims can't cook a meal unless they have all the ingredients in fridge or personal inventory.
If the Off-the-Grid lot challenge is active, that might prevent them from cooking without the support of energy-efficient appliances and other equipment.
If your lot has neither the Simple Living nor Off-the-Grid lot challenge, then I don't know why your sims are unable to cook.

my sim is in labor and stuck at the hospital. Helo. I have tried reset sim, turning my game off and now I am here, can you help?

I'm not sure what your pregnant sim's problem is.
But, if I were you, I would hit the "M" key to have her travel home, buy a bassinet to place in her home, then choose to have her give birth at home.
Is it possible for your sim to travel home like that?
It doesn't solve your original problem but perhaps she won't be stuck at hospital?

This is a known issue:

It seems to happen possibly due to traits, cooking level, if feeling tense, lot traits, maybe playing a scenario.

Low skill level in cooking and low quality stoves can lead to a high percentage of fires. Try cooking meals like salads that don't require the stove until cooking is at least level 3. Also getting a stove with a high reliability rating will also help. Also check if you have the cursed lot challenge. It causes fires when cooking and other nasty things.
