I recently bought a new computer. I downloaded Origin and installed the Sims 3. When I press Play from Origin, the launcher comes up as normal. However, when I press play in the Launcher, Origin just pops back up again and the game never launches. It never shows up in my task manager or my tray. When I go into my Origin files and try to launch the .exe from there, the same thing happens. The launcher never launches the game. I tried wiping and reinstalling, but it did not work. I do not have any mods or custom content. I even tried disabling my expansions and running the base game, but it does the same thing.
For hardware reference, my computer runs on Windows 10 Home. I have 32GB ram, an i9 processor, and an NVIDIA 3080 Ti. I do not believe this is a hardware issue. If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate some help. Thank you!
