Identifying Tray Files
« on: December 28, 2021, 01:30:38 AM »
Is the info in this VERY OLD post still relevant??
https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/forum/index.php?topic=26535.0

I cannot figure out how to make it work.

I have a ton of saves of a legacy family at all different stages that I want to get out of my library and just save as tray file backups in a separate folder on my computer so I can get them out of my library and they can stop showing up EVERYWHERE in my game as townies...but for the life of me I cannot figure out which files are them. I have been placing these families in lots and saving and none of my tray files are updating to today's date, so clearly I'm doing something wrong. HELP?

First, let me ask you a question, have you ever used Tray Importer before?

Second, are you just placing the different stages in the save file you are playing and leaving them in there? Because this is the only way they would be in your game as townies.
