Sims 4 - Origin or Steam?

  Hey everybody!...

   I'm back after having to switch computers. Initially I was doing SIMS 4 on Origin. But recently downloaded Steam and found out that Steam also carries SIMS 4. I know that most people on here who aren't consoling usually use Origin. But I'm wondering if anyone here has ever played SIMS 4 on Steam....

It's my understanding that if you purchase Sims 4 via Steam you have to have both the Steam client open as well Origin.  Other than that it sounds like it's exactly the same game. The only difference is where it was purchased.
