Hi guys! I'm having trouble getting my graphics card fully recognised by Sims 3 despite using the GPU add on support tool most people use.
My graphics card is the AMD Radeon HD 6700 from 2011, I'm on Windows 10 and my Sims 3 game was installed through Steam on my (D:) drive because my (C:) drive doesn't have enough memory space.
So I can start and play the game, but when I check my "Deviceconfig.log" file in electronic arts, it says this:
=== Graphics device info ===
Number: 0
Name (driver): AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series
Name (database): AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series [Found: 0, Matched: 1]
Vendor: ATI
Chipset: Vendor: 1002, Device: 68ba, Board: 1482174b, Chipset: 0000
I was told that Name (database) needs to show [Found: 1, Matched: 1] instead of what's listed above, any 0 found means that the game still doesn't recognise my driver :/ Do any of you know how to fix this using another tool, or a manual way to get my AMD card recognised? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm also pretty tech illiterate so the more specific the instructions shared the better 😂 And please let me know if you need more info that might help find a solution!
